    Outdoor Project

    The ultimate adventure guide

This sign welcomes you to the forest.
A rundown green building sits below the start of the trail.
Uniformly placed trees create a unique feel in this forest.
You will probably share the trail on this hike, which is popular with local residents.
It doesn't exactly feel like Maui in here.
Makeshift shelters appear as sculptures along the Waihou Spring Trail.
There's not much of a view from the overlook because of all the trees in the way.
The neatly planted trees create a pretty tunnel along the trail.
If it's open, the Waihou Spring Trail adds a change of elevation and scenery to this otherwise flat and simple hike.
Boulders break up the uniformity of the experimental forest.
The Waihou Spring Trail switchbacks down to a viewpoint of the spring.
Even if you don't see any roosters in the forest, you'll definitely hear them.
The spring creates a gentle seep down a rock wall that is visible at the end of the spur trail.
