    The ultimate adventure guide

Buckskin Gulch is more than 15 miles of deep narrows.
Unfathomable formations everywhere you look in Buckskin Gulch.
This is bighorn country. You may spot them high on the rocks, or right next to you!
The first taste of the narrows, entering the canyon from Wire Pass.
The junction of Wire Pass and Buckskin Gulch may be the day's last good look at the sky. Pay attention to weather.
Look for petroglyphs at the broad canyon junctions.
Pools can be anywhere from ankle to neck deep, and they are always cold.
Green and gold where the sun sneaks into the canyon.
Some boulder scrambling may be required in places, but always look for other ways around.
Finding a sneaky route beneath the boulders.
Classic buckskin scenery. There is miles of scenery that looks this amazing.
The wettest part of Buckskin is just before Middle Pass.
Middle Pass is the only easy escape route in event of an emergency. Take the ramp up and out.
Petroglyphs high on the wall at Middle Pass are the most vivid ones in Buckskin.
    Keyhole closing in.
Enjoy each little bit of sunshine.
Logs get washed through by flashfloods, leaving eerie reminders about how high the water gets.
    Otherworldly rock creations.
This is the place to camp in Buckskin, a surprisingly verdant paradise less than a mile from the confluence with Paria Canyon.
Slide Arch. The scenery gets no less impressive in Paria Canyon.
Hiking Paria Canyon requires crossing the shallow river over and over.
