Crossing from one side of Indian Arm to the other can be a bit intimidating as there is regular boat traffic. Be sure to bring lights and make yourself known if you are traveling in inclement weather.
This can be a good spot for groups. It is separate from the lower grove, which often has families and folks sleeping earlier. As ever, be respectful of your companions.
The island has plenty of great spots for exploration. The north tip even has a small lighthouse. There are plenty of slippery rocks and coast waters, so it's a good idea to ensure children stick together, are supervised, or wear lifejackets.
