"Ironman 70.3 Pucon. I had taken the lead in the race with the Volcano Villarica in the background. Funny story - I would meet the little girl leading me on the bike 10 years later when I was invited back to the race. She is now a professional athlete!!"

"Climbing the cobblestones at Ironman Frankfurt 2005. That part of the race was called 'the hell,' but I loved it and 'threw my heart over the hill and my body followed.'"

"Running on my favorite 10-mile loop in Florida with my training partner Dave Burger and his dog, Dax. We ran two loops totaling 20 miles, and so did his dog!!"
