Due to high winds and restrictions on kayaks going past the Hawaiian Village, you'll want to rent stand-up paddle boards but request kayak paddles. This way you can get to the Fern Grotto (which kayaks are not allowed to currently visit) and make it back.

Fern Grotto is only accessible by tour boat or stand-up paddleboard because of massive flooding. Once repairs are made this could change.
