    The ultimate adventure guide

    Ian Fohrman
This was a special shoot. We were doing a bareboat charter through the islands with a beautiful group of humans. Amy had recently lost her partner to a drowning incident. She was still feeling the pain of the loss and was scared of the water.

Monte Bianco, Italy, on the Italian side of Mont Blanc. The vibe on the Italian side of this iconic peak is worlds away from the hustle, bustle, and ego-filled extremeness of Chamonix. We skied massive untracked terrain through these mountains.

Courmayeur, Italy. The Skyway Monte Bianco is a mind bending tribute to human ingenuity and fortitude. The futuristic cable car, finished in 2015 after four years and 110 million Euros, juts skyward from an equally impressive base station in Entrèves.

Carl Walker in the Elk Mountains on a windy day.

Weminuche Wilderness, Colorado. We picked through a bony descent from the summit and then milked soft, fun turns back to the infamous saddle. The easy, smooth, fast motion always feels joyful, especially when directly juxtaposed with sweaty labor.

Ominous masses of moisture moved toward us and engulfed the Twilight Peaks directly across the Animus River valley. With our fire crackling against a large boulder, we stared across the valley, rapt by the unfolding drama.

Moab, Uah. At just before midnight I turned onto a dark dirt road and The Doors song "The End" started blasting through my stereo.

Kyle Taylor shredding under the Skyway Tram in Courmayeur, Italy. For this line we climbed over the railing of the observatory deck at the Helbroner and skied pow to the valley floor over 5,000 feet below.

This was hands down the hardest day of our entire project, maybe one of the top five hardest physical days of my life. We climbed and biked Mount Shavano and Tabeguache Peak as part of a 22 mile, 8,500-vertical-foot loop.
