The Rae Leigh Heights Bed and Breakfast is perched on a hillside at a very convenient location near the Butchart Gardens, Victoria Airport and Sidney Harbour (with a ferry line to Vancouver). It is also just a 20-minute drive into downtown Victoria, British Columbia.
David and his wife run the house, providing five-star service. Each morning you are welcomed to join at the main table for an exceptional (and included) freshly-made breakfast. Rae Leigh Heights also bottles their own wine for guests (also included), which serves as a perfect night cap when enjoying sunsets on the back patio.
Beyond the food and beverages, Rae Leigh Heights offers a heated pool, sauna, hot tub, weight room, telescopes and binoculars, a hammock and entertainment space with a TV, dart board and small bar.
There are three total guest rooms, with one of the rooms (Opal) being alone on the ground floor and the other two rooms (Topaz and Amber) being on the lower level with walk-out patios. Each room has a bathroom and a queen or king bed. The Opal room is the most secluded, while the Topaz and Amber rooms share a wall.
Overall, Rae Leigh Heights makes for an ideal base camp from which to explore Vancouver Island. After a long day of hiking, biking, kayaking or enjoying the many more activities you can find on the Island, this bed and breakfast offers all you need to recuperate and head out for a new adventure the next day.
