On June 23, 2018, an estimated 3,000 Portland, Oregon, locals came out throughout the day to celebrate the outdoors and the outdoor community in style at the 2018 Outdoor Project Portland Block Party. The fifth anniversary summer solstice event was held at Ecliptic Brewing Co. off of North Mississippi Avenue and dually served as a fundraiser for 1% for the Planet.
The day included Ecliptic's delicious cold brews, gear and product demos, food trucks, street games, and live music from our friends and PDX bands, Outbound Traveler and Five Letter Word.
The Block Party raised $2,103 for 1% for the Planet!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with 1% for the Planet, it is a global movement inspiring businesses and individuals to support environmental solutions through annual membership (1% of revenue) and everyday actions. They advise on giving strategies, they certify donations, and they amplify the impact of their network. In total their work has given over $175 million dollars back to the environment to date.
We can't thank all of the party's sponsors enough for making the day happen, including our National Sponsor, KEEN, and all of our local sponsors:
