This hike starts at the end of the main road through Greer, Az.  The parking lot is along the West Fork Little Colorado River.  The Government Spring trail follows the river for 2.8 miles.  At times, it is very close to the river.  There is not very good views of the river due to many shrubs and it is also difficult rocky terrain.

At the end of the Government Spring trail, the path clearly continues up a hill on the right.  Follow this well worn but unmaintained trail to the top of the hill.  This trail ends at the junction with the West Fork 94 trail.  The Wes Fork 94 trail is narrow and not well worn but easy to follow.  After about 3.5 miles on the West Fork 94 the trail reaches several forest roads.  This area could be difficult to navigate.  It is helpful to download the tracks.  The trial is not well marked when it reaches the forest roads.

After about 1 mile of forest roads, the trail re-enters the forest and begins a descent down into the valley, north of the town of Greer.  After .75 miles of descent, the trail ends at a tertiary road.  Follow this road back to the main street in Greer.  There is a pathway on the east side of the main road that can be followed with some crossings.  It is nearly 2 miles through town back to the Government Springs trailhead.
