Oregon Highway 224, the access road to all adventures off of the Clackamas River, has been reopened as of April 9, 2015. Extensive wildfires in the summer of 2014 destabilized soil, and this contributed to landslides over the winter. The landslide that closed the road has been removed, and operations to remove dangerous trees and improve the stability of the surrounding terrain will be ongoing. Visitors should continue to watch for rockfall along 224, but access to the river and the bevy of trails, campgrounds, and hot springs in the area is open and ready for use!
