The heart of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is the Scenic Loop Drive. Most of the trails in the park start at trailheads along this road, and for visitors who don’t have the time, ability, or inclination to get very far outside their vehicles, this road and its scenic overlooks will be the main way they see the park. For such a short drive from a major metropolitan area and a vacation destination more oriented toward nightlife than day hiking, this special destination merits a close look.

The loop road is one-way for 13 miles and starts at the entrance station and visitor center. There are seven major trailheads and two official overlooks along the route. Aside from the trailheads and overlooks, parking is difficult due to narrow shoulders.
