The Table Rock Trail is a moderate 1.9-mile hike located off Highway 26 in Grafton Notch State Park. While it is a popular trail in the warmer months, this hike is absolutely stunning in winter if you're up for a little challenge!

Shortly after beginning the hike, you will reach an intersection with two trail options. The route described in this adventure proceeds counter-clockwise, takes Table Rock Trail to the summit, and descends via the Appalachian Trail. This route starts very mild in grade but quickly becomes very steep. Iron rungs are there to get you over large rocks and boulders. Microspikes or crampons, depending on snow conditions, are highly recommended. Choosing to go left at the intersection will continue on the Appalachian Trail to the summit, which is a great route for snowshoeing.

This trail offers incredible views of Grafton Notch. One of its most stunning features is the view of Old Speck, which stands at an impressive 4,170 feet and is Maine's fifth-tallest peak. The summit of Table Rock is, as the name suggests, a very flat, large, table-like rock. If you are looking for a longer hike, continue on the Appalachian Trail to Baldpate Mountain!
