Development at Sol Duc Hot Springs began more than a century ago. The original resort was constructed in 1912 and soon burned to the ground; the rebuilt structure ran until a the thermal springs experienced some interruption in the 1970s. The lodge and outbuildings in their current forms were built in the 1980s, and amenities include a restaurant and deli, a modest massage program, and a small store for last minute items. Of course, the main attraction is the opportunity to steep yourself in the four different pools fed by the natural springs. There are a total of 32 cabins, some of which have kitchens, and there is a large suite that sleeps 10 and is located along the Sol Duc River. Access to the hot springs is included with your stay, and pet friendly options are available. If rooms aren't quite your style, an RV park and camping are available at adjacent Sol Duc Campground.

If you are looking for a beautiful hike after your soak, check out the short walk to Sol Duc Falls that leaves from the end of Sol Duc Road. Note that Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort closes in the winter, generally from the end of October through the end of March.
