Henry’s Lake is a lovely small lake in the Island Park area of far eastern Idaho near Yellowstone National Park. While it is a small park in size, it has a rather nice campground that is very popular with fishermen and boaters.

The campground has two sections: two older loops inside the western entrance, and a long road to the east with sites lined up on both sides. All sites have electrical hookups, some have water, and still others have full hookups. Many sites are either along the water or have a direct view of the water. All have great views of the surrounding hills and mountains. There are showers, a dump station, and free Wi-Fi. The park’s boat ramp is right next to the campground, and several trails can be easily accessed from here. The Outlet Overlook Trail and Aspen Loop Trail are excellent and can be combined to form a 2-mile loop hike.
