The South Camp in Skokomish Park is right at the center of this 500-acre park on the east shore of Lake Cushman. Whereas the North Camp is separated from the Skokomish Park Beach + Day Use Area by the Big Creek Inlet, South Camp enjoys quick and easy access to the beach, boat ramps, boat rentals, and swimming area that make Skokomish Park a popular draw throughout the summer. Additionally, you'll also have access to the visitor center and general store, and there is even a theater for occasional outdoor events.
Larger than North Camp, this campground also serves a broader range of overnight guests. There are 10 walk-in/tent-only sites, and all of Skokomish Park's RV sites are located here. Each of these 35 RV sites is full hookup with both 20 and 30 amp electrical. The remaining 21 sites are large enough for cars, tents, RVs or trailers. Every site has a picnic table and a fire ring, and restrooms with showers are centrally located. These sites are slightly smaller and more densely arranged than the sites in North Camp, but this campground is a clear choice if lake access is your priority. Lake Cushman is a very popular destination in the summer, and reservations are highly recommended.
Note: Skokomish Park North and South Camps are not open during the winter months and are typically open from early April through early November, and is weather dependent. Call 360.877.5760 to get date specifics.
