Technically a part of La Wis Wis Campground, all of which is managed by Hoodoo Recreation Services, Loop H of the campground not only differs from the rest of the main campground in amenities and character, but it is also physically separated from Loops A-G by the Clear Fork of the Cowlitz River.
Unlike the rest of the campground, Loop H is a collection of mostly smaller walk-in sites that afford more privacy than most of La Wis Wis Campground, and they also don't have direct access to potable water. Potable water is available, however, at the main portion of the campground.
Loop H's advantage is its exposure to sunlight and the swimming holes on the Ohanapecosh River that abut the campsites, including the deep waters of the Blue Hole, a shaded cliff-jumping spot just north of the campground.
Note: La Wis Wis Campground/Campsites are open May 16 through September 21.
