Please respect the outdoors by practicing Leave No Trace. Learn more about how to apply the principles of Leave No Trace on your next outdoor adventure here.

In the Willamette National Forest, the Westview Trail System provides snowshoers and cross-country skiers with ample opportunity for adventures. The trail is accessed from the Westview Loops or the Pengra Pass Trail and then follows along the Pacific Crest Trail before providing you with an amazing view of Odell Lake and Diamond Peak from Eagle Rock. It’s a great spot to take a break, enjoy the view and maybe even spot some wildlife.

To help with navigation, the intersections along the trail are numbered. A map can be found online or at the warming hut in the Gold Lake Sno-Park.

The Gold Lake Sno-Park offers parking (Sno-Park permit required), a warming hut that is staffed by friendly volunteers on the weekends, maps for sale, and vault toilets.
