Ripplebrook Campground

Ripplebrook Campground is an unassuming but pleasant place to pitch a tent or park a small RV along the Oak Grove Fork of the Clackamas River. The Oak Grove Fork, which feeds both Timothy Lake and Lake Harriet, rambles slowly by Ripplebrook and can be accessed by nearly every campsite. Of the string of campgrounds situated along the Clackamas River, Ripplebrook is further south, which deters many visitors from considering it as an option. The the extra few miles may be worth it, however. In addition to having direct access to Oak Grove Fork, most sites have a balanced mix of sun and shade, a rare occcurance in the densely vegetated region. Amenities include campfire rings with grills, picnic tables, vault toilets and drinking water.

Visitors to the area enjoy fishing, hiking, mountain biking, birding, and rafting. There are also plenty of swimming holes and places to plant a camp chair in the river when temperatures get high. Rainbow, Riverside and Indian Henry campgrounds are the closest alternatives, with several others nearby.
